We arrived home to a winter wonderland in Saskatoon - I wasn't that impressed. Then again I had just spent a week on the west coast - I suppose some initial depression was in order.
The trip home was smooth sailing from Nanaimo to Vancouver, and Vancouver to Calgary. Once we hit Calgary the waiting began. We were only suppose to have a hour & a half layover in Calgary (which was plenty of time to grab something to eat), however due to the weather in southern Alberta and Saskatchewan all the flights were severely delayed. Air Canada tentatively rescheduled our flight for 11:20 rather than 10:15 - however 11:20 came and went and there was no indication we would be leaving anytime soon. The plane that was to take us to Saskatoon finally arrived around 1:30, and we were up and on our way about 2 am. We landed in Saskatoon around 3am, and eventually got home around 4. All in all, it was a long day.
Sorry for the complaining - sometimes I just need to vent.
Today has been a lazy day so far, and will likely continue with some exciting clothes washing. I am trying not to look outside today - I think that it will only depress me. I am sure it will be okay to live in my west coast fantasy world for a few more days - at least until I have to go back to work on Monday.
