Well, my 10 year high school reunion is all set to go. I got my official email the other day regarding times, dates and activities.
As I have been sharing my thoughts about my reunion with friends, it seems as though I am in the minority when it comes to being excited about attending. Of course there are people I really really want to see and visit with, and then there are others that saying hi to will due.
Even though my parents still live in Biggar and I have regularily gone back to visit, I rarely leave the house. So, for those of my classmates that still live in Biggar it has been a long while since I have seen them; not to mention those that don't even live in Biggar anymore.
I think one of the reasons that I am excited is because even though I may not have been best buds with all 45 classmates I graduated with, I went to school with them for a good 13 years. That is a long time. There is definitely going to be some kind of attachment, and after 10 years of not seeing the same faces each day (granted you want to see those faces) you kinda want to see what has happened in their life. I guess that is the whole point of reunions.
Anyways, the fact remains that I am looking forward to going in a few weeks. I am sure that I will have a good time. If there is one thing I will get out of it, it will be to see my close girlfriends (who all live in Alberta). We didn't get our girls weekend arranged this winter, so I hope they can all come. There has been a little arm twisting involved, hopefully it is working.
