I took my first crack at making potato soup tonight, and I think that it turned out well. It was tasty, and both Jeff & I enjoyed it.
The first time I tasted this soup was at his & her place sometime last winter (I believe) when I was in Regina for work. It was wonderful then, and it was even better when she made it here while her & the family stayed with us before Christmas. I was in the mood for it again, so I asked for the 'once-a-week' recipe.
The detailed directions were awesome...though I think I cut up my potatoes too small, as they were cooked in about 10 minutes. They were a little mushy, but the soup was still very tasty. And the sausage that I added was awesome!
I am not too worried that it didn't turn out perfect. It was the first attempt. Next time will be better. That is how a cook becomes a good cook - by learning from the time before.
