Just Say No!

At least that is my goal regarding computer games for the next little while.

I have got so many things on my plate these days that I have decided to forgo the computer gaming for awhile. I will miss it, but I think it is the best decision for me in order stay motivated and on top of all the work I have ahead of me in the next couple of months, which is:

  • ERP Systems Paper & Presentation - 20 pages

  • Research Proposal & Presentation - 20 pages

  • UK Country Analysis & Presentation - 5 pages

  • Ethics Summary - 1 page

  • Literature Review - 20 pages

  • 3 more biotech assignments - 10 pages a piece

I was feeling a little overwhelmed a few days ago, but I am feeling pretty good now. I am actually excited about all the work I have, because I know it will make me work even harder. It has motivated me to produce the best possible work I can. Plus, I am really intrigued with my strategic alliance research thesis and the articles I have been reading over the past couple of days. They are really interesting, and I am already getting ideas on my methodology and the direction I want to take my research. I can't wait to talk to the companies who have been involved in strategic alliances, and what their experiences have been.

Anyway, this post was suppose to be about nixing my computer gaming. I guess I couldn't contain my excitment about being overloaded with cool school. Ha!

That's probably for the best, despite me being an industry advocate. MMOs can consome WAY too much time if you let them. :-)

..but then, so can work.

For sure, and I think that is why I need to say no for the next little while. However, if something big comes up, like another attempt at CoT, I will try to squeeze it in.

96 pages of writing in a couple of months... wow! I know you will be able to do it though. Especially if you are getting excited about it when you should be posting about computer gaming :)

Have you got anything started yet?

Hey Laura,

I have just about finished up my UK Country Analysis, I just need to do up the presentation.

As for the rest, not really. I have started my lit review, but it has been mostly reading and jotting down notes. No typing yet. But I am hoping to get to that this weekend.

I am sure you are pretty busy too, but we need to go for lunch. Send me an email, and let me know when you are available.
