Done Good!

I had a meeting with my supervisor and co-supervisor yesterday regarding my project. It seemed to go well. He was happy with my literature review, considering it was my first crack at one. But of course, there were changes. Mostly nit-picky ones like a reference page, introduction, etc. I had planned on doing these things anyways, I just didn't think I need to rush to get it done before I handed in my first draft. Plus, I will likely organization the review slightly different, so I would have had to re-do an introduction anyways. I need to fix up my in-text citations as well, as I was not sure the proper way to do it.

Overall, I think it went well.

We were able to discuss some other components of my project, like my research proposal that is due next week in my Research Methods class. I am still a little short on some information from PharmaVentures that will help me fill in the background and the purpose, but I am confident my supervisors are gonna get that info for me before next week. The research proposal that I am doing for my research methods class is going to be slightly different than what goes into my final thesis. Mostly due to the time constraints. I am sure I will have refined things a bit more over the next couple of months, than what is spewed out in the next few days.

We also discussed my preliminary ethics submission, which is due next week. I quickly wrote up something last night, and refined it this morning after receiving some previous letters from my supervisor. I think it looks good, and should hopefully get my exempt from having to go through the full ethics approval process.

I have got another week full of activites and schoolwork. I think I will be glad when this term is over. It has been fairly hectic.

Sounds like things are really shaping up for you. You're past halfway and getting into the interesting bits.
