Training

After a solid week of training, I think I am well prepared for the Duathlon on Sunday afternoon.

Although, I didn't get my 1km swim in today, due to the power going off in Education building, I still got in a pretty good bike ride. The wind against me the whole way home helped to increase the resistance.

I am looking forward to my second event. It should be fun.

so what's the difference between a biathlon and a duathlon? Other than that one is more difficult to pronounce? I didn't bother checking out the website, because there would probably bee too much information there, and it would make me feel guilty for being so lazy and not even doing a monathlon. I'm in the nonathlon stage.

But if there was a chipathlon, I might do okay, or a beerathlon. Or possibly a 'putthekidstobedathlon'. Suz would be good competition for that one, though.

Do they have a snoozeathlon?

A biathlon consists of cross-country skiing and rifle shooting, where a duathlon would consist of two running legs and a cycling leg.

The chipathlon sounds like an interesting concept. If you put together an event, count me in. Can I bring dip?

As for the beerathlon, I am pretty sure I would peter out by #4 or #5.

I must say, for not having kids, I have put many-a-kid to bed, and I think I would fair well at the 'putthekidstobedathlon.'

As for the snoozeathlon, I already conceed. Suz, you win!
