Ym frst week went off without a hitch. As the dsys go by I am getting more and more comfortable around the office and my new collegues. Everyone is so welcoming and exciting. That makes it even better.
As for my job, it is starting to fill out a little for me each day. As I spend more time talking with different directors, managers and team leads I have started to get a better understanding of what my organization does and how my role fits in. I think it will be an exciting time. Definitely when it comes to moulding and shaping my job. I now have the feeling that the individual who was in my previous role just wasn't doing the things that she was suppose in regards to the Learning and Development Strategy and Business Plan. I am confident that I can bring some insight and creativity to the position.
On another note, I sadly did not get to see Randy last night. Bne and I weren't at the airport promptly at 6, but due to some poor/lack of communication we hadn't heard that Randy was still in San Francisco and that his plane had been cancelled. After talking some to the Edmonton crew, we found out that he would be arriving at 1:00am. So, we hung out for the evening at Cori and Dave's and I got to meet the rest of the Edmonton crew.
I had planned on going to the airport later to see Randy, however his plane was to be delayed another hours. So, I am super excited to see Randy today. I can't wait.
Again, very, very tired and bummed out today. Perhaps I will feel better when I go home for Christmas and I am around people who love me.

Thanks Al. You just made my day.
It was really great seeing you in Edmonton, as short a time as it was. Maybe we'll see you again in the spring for Al's wedding! :-)
It was great to see you too.
And it definitely was way too short.
I hope that your trip home was less exhausting.
We will definitely see you at the wedding.
Have a Merry Christmas!
