Similar to Suz, I have been lax in the amount of regular posts I have been contributing to my blog. I had to reiterate to Bne that I was on holidays and was taking a mini-break from the world of technology. I think we all can become a little dependent on these wonderful little machines, so it was nice to get away for a bit.
Although I am taking the first step in making a post, I really don't have a whole lot of things to say. The week was boring and blah. And I have attributed that to having returned from my short holiday. I guess I just wasn't ready to be back at work, and would have loved to still be on holidays. Or, I could blame it on the weather, as it has started to cool off; in the evenings especially.
Our ballteams' playoffs were this weekend. They started Friday night. We won with one run between us. Saturdays game proved to be a challenge. First, the diamonds we were at got closed because of the rain and hail the night before. We ended up playing at some other diamonds that weren't as nice. The weather was cool, wet and misty. It 'rained' for most of our game. We were doing OK for the majority of the game, but weren't really ahead of the other team at any point. However, it the last inning we pulled it out and managed to get 4 runs to win the game. It was an amazing final inning, and we were all very excited to have won. The bad news, that I just received a while ago, was that todays games are rained out and they are going to have to reschedule them for during the week. It's a bummer, however it really doesn't look to nice out.
I am off for supper to A&K's tonight. Hopefully A & I can work out a exercise schedule for the coming week. We haven't had much success going together this summer, but we are both ready to jump back in.
I am off to Calgary next weekend for Chad & Jen's going away party. *sniff* They are down in Dallas this weekend checking out houses. I hope they found something.
I am looking forward to seeing Bne & Chris. I know Bne is ok, but I know that he needs a big hug. He has been a big support for him, and I want to make sure he knows he has the same in me.
The long weekend looks like it will be shaping up to a visit home to Biggar. I am in desperate need of some family time. Although I just saw my family at the lake, it was a little chaotic, and I am looking for something a little quieter. Plus, I am anxious to see how the renos are going. I really hadn't planned on making any trips back to Saskatchewan until October, but when I told my Dad that he say, 'oh, you better come home before then.' I think he just misses his little girl.
Now that I have the rest of the day to kill, I am not sure what to do. I should really get that damn baby sweater finished, as it is a tiny size, and I am pretty sure Melzi's had her baby, although not informed us yet. I probably will call A up and see if she is up for the gym this afternoon before supper. With our gloomy day, a good workout at the gym will do wonders to help remedy the feelings that come with a blah day.
