So, as I predicted, my weekend wasn't as full of rest and relaxation as I would have liked. It was fairly chaotic most days with the kids around and my parents house in ruins. Yes, in ruins. It is pretty much torn up. They have gotten the main rooms painted, and they look wonderful. The french doors are in, and the new casings around the windows. It is really starting to shape up, and you can start to imagine how beautiful it is going to look when it is done.
We spent most of the weekend eating, visiting, watching movies, and playing games. We tried out a new game this weekend: Pirate's Cove. It was quite fun. Then again, it could have been who I was playing with. James does an excellent Pirate voice (as well as many others), and was getting in the spirit of the game, as all players were required to shout out in a strong pirate voice which section of the ship you were going to attack. My nephew was hilarious with his native sounding pirate voice. Tee-hee.
Unfortunately, the only nice day of the weekend was today. It was super hot. But we did manage to get to the park. The kids really shouldn't ask me to play tag, I out ran them all. Mwwahaahaha!!
I am looking forward to the fall sports I am involved with, and relaxing at home for the next month.
