First Day - Orientation

Today was officially my first day back at school. It was the first of a 6 day orientation they have set up for the new MBA recruits.

There were a number of presentations throughout the day advising the students of the program, the 5 different specializations, rules & regulations of the MBA program & Grad Studies, and other tidbits of information. The remainder of the day was filled with spending an exorbitant amount of money at the bookstore, and learning about the computers: where the labs are, how to access our H: drive, and make sure our email accounts are accessible. It looks as though each MBA student gets a laptop for the year. Pretty sweet! Not like a need another computer, I already have 2, not counting Jeff's.

From the discussion today regarding each specialization, each student will have the option to 'mix & match' classes from different specializations. So instead of me taking all 4 of my specialization classes in International Business Management, I can choose some classes (not sure if more than one) from the other specializations. One of the classes from the AgriBusiness specialization has peeked my interest, and I think it would mesh nicely with the other classes I have choosen to take. I think I had some preconceived notions about what AgriBusiness was about - it is not just about farming, or Agricultural companies.

All in all, a fulfulling yet long day. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Sounds tiring.

I'm glad you enjoyed it though.

[My trigger finger was too twitchy on that first post.]
