Family Time

All of our visitors have left......little sad about that. I miss them already.

A&R were off yesterday afternoon to spend their last few days in Canada with their family. Soon after they left, we were off to do the same. We headed over to the in-laws to enjoy some quality family time. It was nice. A little less busy than the past week. Kevin is home from Cali for the holidays. It is nice to see him; he is the same as always - weird!

Christmas morning was a little surprising. Jeff & I were not really expecting much, as we held off on presents this year due to our financial situation. We ended up with a few things, and some money to help us purchase a vaccum cleaner.

We have managed to keep busy with playing games (even 'More Dirty Minds; not awkward at all, and I am being serious), visiting, and eating, however,I have been mostly knitting. I made an attempt to knit socks quite sometime ago, and called it quits when I couldn't quite figure out the rest of the pattern. However, I asked the Knitting Queen while they were here, and she set me straight. She has quite a knack for the art, and explains it so well. I managed to finish off the one sock in short time yesterday, and I am almost done the second one day. Kudos for me. Not so hard once I understand, imagine that.

There will be more family time spent with my family in the next couple of days. We are headed out to Biggar tomorrow morning, and unfortunately have to return Wednesday evening. However, I am still looking forward to the brief visit.

I also got some very exciting news this morning from a friend's mother, however I don't want to broadcast it across my journal until I have had a chance to speak with her. Eeeeeeekk!
