Mom and Son at the Pool

Today, Master K and I went swimming at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park. We had heard many good things about the pool - one being that it is much warmer than the rest of the pools in Edmonton. Also, we are still a little upset with the Millwoods Rec Centre since Mr. J's wallet and iPhone were stolen during Master K's last swimming lesson.

This was the 1st time we'd gone swimming since Master K ended his swimming lessons at the end of March. We'd been meaning to go, we just didn't get around to it, and also because of the theft mentioned above.

I really wanted to make sure that Malcolm didn't forget what it was like to go to the 'big bathtub.' He loves his bathes at home, and really enjoyed his swimming lessons, so I wanted to keep encouraging his love of water until we do swimming lessons again in the fall.

The pool was fantastic - everything and more. It was definitely a warm pool; the waves were awesome; and the water playground (albeit to old for Master K) and flotation devices were perfect.

Master K dunked his head a few times, and enjoyed a ride around the pool in a fishy floaty. The only thing missing was Daddy. We'll definitely be taking him with us next time.
