I vowed at the end of American Idol last year that I would never watch it again. So much for that promise.
By the time it got to the bottom 10 last year, it was pretty much a popularity contest, and the public wasn't voting on musical talent. That just ticks me off. If you are going to have a talent show you should be basing your votes on the talent they possess.
The beginning audition episodes of American Idol are always enetertaining and I couldn't resist this year - still promising myself that I wouldn't get sucked in, and I would stop watching the moment the public got involved in the process. Once again, so much for that promise.
Tonight was the first chance the public had to vote, and they had the final 12 males performing. Next week are the final 12 women. I have already got a couple favorites - Mario Vazquez is definitely the one to watch, however Anwar Robinson was pretty amazing as well.
For those of you who read my blog, I will not punish you with more American Idol posts, as I am going to try as hard as possible not to watch anymore.
Stupid hotel rooms with nothing better to do than watch crappy reality TV.
